The Position    

As the Systems & Client Support Manager at Intrepid, you will oversee, manage, and be accountable for the operations and business-as-usual (BAU) activities of the Service Operations and Application Support team. Working closely with the Technology Services Manager and stakeholders in Melbourne regarding staff, budgeting, and future direction of the support you will need to be a lateral thinker and an excellent problem solver, both technically and functionally.

This is a full-time permanent position, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka on a hybrid basis.

Some of the tasks you’ll support are:  

  • Create and keep under review an inspiring, compelling, forward-looking, and customer-centric vision for Service Operations & Application support team, which will help us to win and deliver business and build our reputation further
  • Reporting, creating monthly reports, and providing recommendations to General Manager, rostering and leave plans
  • Infrastructure support tasks, maintain and monitor the quality of infrastructure tasks performed by the Service Operations team and act as the escalation point 24X7 Service Operations team.
  • Technology Services department tasks such as overseeing system documentation and providing recommendations accordingly
  • Provide mentoring and support for Service Operations Team

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you is:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, and Hardware or IT-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, leadership, managerial or supervisory role required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a service-oriented team in a 24×7 service desk
  • Experience in service management frameworks like ITIL
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in Windows server administration is an added advantage
